Are Families and Children Welcome?
Yes! Anglers of all ages are welcome on all of Captain Sean’s fishing trips. Ladies, children and anyone fishing in the ocean for the first time are especially welcome. Captain Sean is a patient guide who enjoys sharing his passion for fishing and boating with everyone.
How many people can Captain Sean accommodate?
All our charters can accommodate up to 6 persons. Captain Sean can arrange multiple boats for large groups.
Do we need fishing licenses to fish with you?
No, Captain Sean’s license covers everyone on the boat. Captain Sean is licensed to conduct fishing charters in state and federal waters.
What do we bring?
Captain Sean provides everything you need to fish including fishing licenses, bait and tackle.
Here’s what you need to bring for a great time on the water.
• Bring a cooler with your food and drink for the day, ice is provided.
• Tropical weather clothing, sunscreen, a wide brim hat and polarized sunglasses are highly recommended.
• If worried about sea sickness, consider motion sickness medication such as Dramamine, Bonine or others. The patch is the most effective, consult with your doctor.
What does Captain Sean provide?
When you go on a charter with Captain Sean’s Daytona Beach Fishing Trips, everything you need to fish is included.
Captain Sean supplies:
• fishing licenses
• fishing tackle and equipment
• bait
• ice for both your catch and to keep your drinks cold
• professional fish cleaning
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own rod/reel/tackle if you’d like. However, it is not necessary to have any fishing gear since we have everything you need to fish.
Can we keep the fish we catch?
Yes, as long as the fish is in season, the proper size and within the daily catch limit. Some species you catch may be protected or out of season and are ‘Catch and Release’ only. Captain Sean is always aware of current fishing regulations and will kindly let you know which fish are ‘Keepers’.
What about cleaning the fish?
Captain Sean will clean and fillet your fish for you when we return to dock. You can bring it home with you or one of the nearby restaurants will cook it for you. Here’s a Tip! Bring a small cooler on board for your drinks and snacks and keep and larger cooler in your car to store your catch. Captain Sean will provide the ice!
Can we bring alcohol on board?
Beer and wine are allowed but NOT in glass bottles. Hard liquor is NOT allowed. Any wine in glass bottles must be transferred into a non-glass container before leaving the dock. Illegal substances (no matter how minor) are not allowed on our charter boat.
How do we Book a Charter?
Call Captain Sean directly at 386-547-1456 to confirm your departure date and time. A small deposit is required at time of booking. Cash payment is required at the dock BEFORE departure.
Where do we depart?
We typically board at the Port Orange Marina near Two Jerks Seafood right by Dunlawton Bridge.
79 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL 32127.
This location is just 6 miles south of downtown Daytona Beach and minutes from I-95 & I-4.

What time of the day do you start your fishing trips?
Above all this is your fishing trip so Captain Sean will work with you to begin the charter at a time convenient for you. Please remember that there are several factors that affect the success of any fishing trip including weather, tides, time of year, and even the prime feeding times of various species. Captain Sean will usually set up the day you want to fish and then firm up the time and location a few days before the trip.
How early should I arrive for my fishing trip?
Please arrive fifteen to twenty minutes before the scheduled charter time. By this time the bait and ice will be loaded on board and Captain Sean will be ready to load your personal things.
What about Cancellations?
For cancellations due to weather or prior to departure please check with Captain Sean on policy.

What if the weather forecast looks bad?
Captain Sean will keep in touch and communicate with everyone leading up to the fishing trip. If bad weather is expected, there will be no trip and your deposit will be refunded. Above all Captain Sean wants you to have a great fishing trip and not a bad weather experience!
What about Tipping?
Tipping is not required but it is customary to tip 15% to 20% of the charter cost especially if you had a really good time!
In addition to tipping, is there any other way to show appreciation to Captain Sean for a truly great and memorable fishing trip?
Yes, We would love to place your best fishing photos from your trip on our website!
